In Lucknow, a man is accused of murdering his wife with the assistance of his nephew and a friend, driven by suspicions of her infidelity. To conceal the crime, the suspect attempted to present the murder as an accident, according to police reports.
Initially, the husband was detained for questioning when investigators found inconsistencies at the scene. The interrogation revealed that he had killed his wife due to his belief that she was having an affair. Currently, three individuals have been arrested in connection with this case.
On May 20, the Mohanlalganj police were alerted about a woman involved in an accident. Upon arrival, they rushed the injured woman to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead. The investigation intensified when authorities noted the absence of external injuries, but discovered a stab wound in her abdomen, suggesting foul play.
Police apprehended Mohammad Asif, the victim's husband, and conducted a post-mortem examination. The investigation confirmed that Asif was responsible for the murder of his wife, Muskan.
ADCP South Amit Kumawat indicated that Asif had suspected his wife of communicating with another man, leading to multiple arguments between them. The investigation revealed that Asif had long desired to eliminate his wife. He allegedly enlisted his nephew, Manna, promising him one lakh rupees to carry out the murder, with a friend also involved in the plan.
On the day of the incident, Asif and his accomplices executed the plan, resulting in Muskan's death. Among the three suspects, one is a minor, who is currently under protective custody. Evidence collected from the scene included a knife and a blood-stained shirt, along with a glass anklet and two mobile phones belonging to the deceased.
